According to reports, doctors in China have removed a 16-centimeter long hairball from the stomach of a young girl who suffers from a disorder that involves eating her own hair. The girl had been living in discomfort for a year as her parents refused surgery since she was “too young”. Qinqin, the six-year-old child, ate cotton from the sofa when she was two, reportedly said Qinqin's father. “She would then eat her hair at night,” he added. The girl is under medical observation.
