DMK files contempt of court case against EC

According to reports, DMK has registered a contempt of court case against Tamil Nadu State Election Commission for disrespecting the Madras High Court’s order. The court had earlier ordered that the Election Commission should issue a notification for local body elections before September 18. The court also directed the Commission to complete the election process by November 17. The Commission has not issued a notification so far.
