Tamil Nadu government on Wednesday restricted private schools from using banners to announce their top scorers. Several reports also suggest that the state government also banned educational institutions from advertising their toppers in newspapers. This comes after the government's announcement on May 11 that it will not be announcing the toppers rank list.
