Amid tensions in Madhya Pradesh following the killing of farmers in firing during a protest, State Home Minister Bhupendra Singh has reportedly confirmed that deaths were due to police firing. The government on Thursday suspended two top district officials. Notably, Singh had earlier rejected the allegation. According to reports, the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government is believed to be considering waiving interest on farm loans.
