A fire at a cracker factory in Kheri village in Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh killed at least twenty-three workers and injured seven others, say reports. Balaghat district collector Bharat Yadav reportedly said, out of 10 workers injured in the incident initially, three died on their way to Nagpur. While the State has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh each to the kin of the deceased, it will also bear the medical expenses of the injured, say reports.
