Tamil Nadu government is reportedly planning to sign a MoU with the Airports Authority of India (AAI). According to reports, the MoU will allow AAI to develop regional airports as part of the regional air connectivity scheme. The MoU is also expected to discuss the possibility of an airport at Sriperumpudur and also about the extension of airports at Coimbatore, Madurai and Trichy.
