India taking up fishermen issue with Sri Lanka: Sushma Swaraj

The External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Thursday reportedly said that the Government has assured probe into the killing of an Indian fisherman by the Lankan Navy. Making a statement in the Lok Sabha, the Minister elocuted that the Government has taken this issue to the Srilankan Government to ensure that our fishermen were treated in a humane manner. Notably, the Indian Government claimed the issue 10 days after the fisherman death.
