Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar wins trust vote in Assembly

BJP led government in Goa, headed by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has reportedly won the crucial floor test at the Assembly on Thursday with the support of 22 MLAs. In the 40 member Goa Assembly, Parrikar was supported by 13 BJP MLAs, three independent MLAs and three each from the Goa Forward Party and Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party. Notably, Congress emerged as the single-largest party in Goa with 17 seats.
