Sri Lanka Cricket Board chief Thilanga Sumathipala reportedly announced that they will be hosting India and Bangladesh in tri-nation series in March 2018. The tournament has been made as a part of Sri Lanka’s 70th Independence celebrations and it will be played from March 15 to 31 in 2018 and will be called as the Nidhas Trophy. "We celebrate the 70th year of our independence next year and SLC also completes 70 years in 2018. We are happy that both BCCI and BCB have confirmed their participation for the tri-nation series", said Sumathipala.
