Amarinder Singh to take oath as Punjab CM on Thursday

Congress leader Amarinder Singh will take oath as Punjab’s 26th Chief Minister in Chandigarh on Thursday at a ceremony, which is likely to be attended by party Vice-President Rahul Gandhi. According to sources, Singh is likely to induct nine ministers initially and the cabinet would be expanded later. While the state can have a maximum of 18 ministers, the party has 77 MLAs in the Assembly.
