Security flaw found in WhatsApp

Computer security firm Check Point Software Technologies has reportedly said that there is a security flaw in the messaging platform WhatsApp that could let hackers break into the app easily. WhatsApp accounts can be hacked using the very encryption intended to protect the messages. "By simply sending an innocent looking photo, an attacker could gain control over the account, access message history, all photos that were ever shared, and send messages on behalf of the user”, said Vanunu, Check Point head of product vulnerability.
