A slipper was hurled at Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan near Salem on Thursday. However, the slipper missed the Union Minister and landed on the TV camera mics in front of him. The Union Minister was addressing the media relating the death of  the JNU student J Muthukrishnan. Police have picked up a few youth in connection with the incident.
