According to reports, Reliance Jio has submitted a proposal to the human resource development ministry expressing desire to provide free WiFi to close to 38,000 colleges under the ministry across India. While the telecom operator is not charging any money for the service, the government will float a tender to ensure a fair and transparent process, sources reportedly said.
