The Chennai Police on Saturday reportedly raided 750 shops and registered cases against 722 people for dealing in banned tobacco business. According to TOI reports, the raids also helped the police find black money from a Gutka seller in Vepery. Notably, this move by Chennai police comes after DMK leader MK Stalin raised this issue in the assembly last week.
