He
was just another nondescript filmmaker on
the scene, till Kaakha Kaakha hit the screen
and Gowtham suddenly became a household
name! His films are heavily inspired from
the Hollywood style of filmmaking, and yet,
retain that quintessential Indian flavour.
While his Vettaiyadu Vilayadu is yet to
release with the veteran Kamal Hassan in
the lead, his forthcoming film, Silandhi
(Parundhu) with Sarath Kumar and Jyothika
is already creating quite a buzz in the
industry. With a freshness that is exuded
in all his scenes, Gowtham brings with him
a lot of hype each time, and delivers spot
on. He was an ad filmmaker, shooting various
commercials after a good apprenticeship
under noted filmmaker Rajiv Menon.
