in Chembaruthi under Selvamani’s direction.
Then onwards in all of his films, she was
the heroine.

fact, her 100th film was also directed by Selvamani.
Theirs was also a very publicized romance and
it went through several highs and lows. They
were married in 2000. Roja has almost retired
from films as she is very busy doting on her
daughter.
