Their
silent cold war was
an acknowledged fact
although no one spoke
about it openly. However,
since Baba there has
been a patch up of
sorts. While he is
busy finalizing the
story for Sivaji
with
Shankar, the team including
lyricist Vairamuthu
was in Thekkady for
the discussion. On their
way back, they reached
a place called Kumali
where Ilayaraja’s
mother’s cemetery
is located. They paid
homage there. Rajinikanth
also met Ilayaraja recently
on a private occasion.
We do not know what
transpired between them.
