Bollywood actor diagnosed with cancer
September 19, 2009

Lisa Ray, the lovely looking model turned actor, is recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a rare case of incurable cancer of the white blood cells. Although she was diagnosed a few months earlier, Lisa was silently fighting the dreadful disease without letting the world know, not even her colleagues on the sets of her recently premiered movie ‘Cooking with Stella’ directed by Deepa Mehta.

She wrote in her blog recently that she got full membership into the Cancer Club and that she was advised by some to keep her condition as a secret so as it would not negatively affect her career.

A visibly plump Lisa, who is on steroids, was recently seen on the red carpet for the premiere of Cooking with Stella with her co-stars in Toronto.
