CBI court summons Arjun and Gauthami
September 18, 2009

Nearly 20 years ago, a film producer, Sundarambal, obtained a loan of Rs. 5 lakhs at the Indian Bank claiming to produce a film under the banner Sudha International Pvt Ltd. However, the film failed to take off and the producers failed to pay the principal amount as well as the interest which accrued to Rs. 7 lakhs by 1991.

The case, filed by the bank against the producer, came up for hearing at the CBI court today. ‘Action King’ Arjun, Gauthami and Vinu Chakravarthy were issued summons to present themselves before the court as witnesses against the producer. Appearing before the court, Arjun, Gauthami and Vinu Chakravarthy stated that they were never approached for call sheet by the producer and no advance was paid to them.
