Yash Chopra, founder of Yash Raj
Films, is due for a greater recognition
next month for his exemplary work
in the Indian cinema. The noted
Bollywood producer-director will
receive the prestigious Asian Filmmaker
of the Year award at the Pusan International
Film Festival that is to be held
between October 8 and 16th. The
press statement reads, “As
the most influential producer and
director in India over decades,
Chopra has made remarkable contributions
to establish Bollywood cinema on
the global stage.”
The film festival will screen several
of the films directed and produced
by Yash Chopra.
