Revathi flew down to Mumbai for a discussion with
the producer regarding selection of actors, script
etc. According to sources, Hema entrusted the work
to Revathi because she felt that only a lady director
could bring out the essence of the subject well.
Moreover, Revathi’s earlier directorial ventures
– “Mithr- my Friend” and “Phir
Milenge” – also bore testimony to her
capability as a director. The shooting of the film
is scheduled to begin soon after Diwali; meanwhile,
the groundwork is on.
What is more surprising is that the Union Railway
Minister, Lalu Prasad Yadav had approached Hema Malini
for a role in this movie. He conveyed his intention
to act when the two met while voting for the Vice-President
election in New Delhi. However, Hema was not available
for comments.
