Shooting for Sivakasi is on in full swing. The film’s director, Perarasu had wanted the famous Ranganathan Street in T.Nagar, Chennai to be recreated in the movie. So, the producer, A.M. Ratnam has given the go ahead without cutting corners in bringing the crowded shopper’s paradise ambience in the film’s sets. It is widely talked about that several leading firms have offered huge sums to the producer to let their firm’s name and logo appear as hoardings in the movie. Also, a leading fireworks manufacturer in Sivakasi has approached A.M. Ratnam with Rs. 75 lakhs to display their name. Another big news about the film is of the director. Hero Vijay had recommended Perarasu to the producer and mediated for a Rs. 50 lakh fee for him. Hope he lives up to the expectation created with Tiruppachi.
