Gilli is the remake of the Telugu hit Okkadu. Gilli was produced by A.M. Ratnam and directed by Dharani who has given us Dil and Dhool. Now, Gilli will be made in Hindi with suave Abhishek Bachan playing the lead. Ashish Vidyarthi’s role of Vijay’s father will be played by none other than the great Amitabh Bachan. The father and son duo will be guided by Rajkumar Santoshi who is very popular for hits like Damini and China Gate. Screenplay for the Hindi version has been written by Rajeshwar who has directed a few films in Tamil. The film’s shooting will commence soon and there is palpable excitement that it should turn out to be just the big grosser like the Tamil and Telugu versions. Big names, big talents and let us see the result.
