The characters of Vijay Sethupathi and Arya revealed

Director SP Jananathan generally etches out interesting characterizations for the actors he deals with. His previous three films had the lead actors playing characters far from the normal.

Iyarkai

The movie had Shaam in the lead. He played the character of an orphan who is a sailor and falls in love with a local vendor.

The movie based on Bio war had Jiiva in the lead, who played the character of a local boy who grew up in the dirty slum.

Peranmai

Jayam Ravi plays the role of a tribal forest guard who goes on a mission with five college girls.

It is now being reported that Jananathan's latest movie titled Purampokku that has Vijay Sethupathi and Arya in the lead, also has unique characters for the two leads in the film.

Arya will handle the role of a social activist while Vijay Sethupathi will play the role of a local railway worker who does all the work for people in the railways department.

The shoot will kick off from January, 2014 in Kulu Manali after which the team will head to Jaisalmer and Bikaner, Stay tuned for more updates.
