PENCIL SONGS REVIEW

The album gets a trance like start with a pleasant solo track sung by G.V.Prakash himself. He has sung in baritone vocals for a change and the progressive rhythm section adds to the feel good ambience. The alternative rock styled guitar usage pumps the extra energy needed for the composition. 

In contrast to the relaxed beginnings, it is time for a fun filled college track sung by Tippu and Shrihari. The gripping rhythm and realistic lyrics together create a campus song in ease. 

A fusion based duet with House mix, electronica and Hip-Hop beats blending together with the melodious lead vocals. Javed Ali starts off with his masterful vocals and Shreya’s lower octave singing stands out unique throughout the progress. The interludes bring the best of Indian as well as western music forms in style. The timely usage of Saarangi in the midst of Hip-Hop beats sure is a commendable act. 

The album gathers pace with a folksy number with kuthu rhythm and funky vocals. The lyrics are quite glossy and fun filled, suiting the mood of the composition. Impressive string section adds to the neat presentation. However, the track is low on the thump factor.

The trance version of the feel good solo arrives in the finale with more sequencing and Rap vocals. The tempo is increased quite much for this version but it distorts the overall listening experience of the composition itself.
