Pa Paba Pa
Singers: Mukesh, S.P. Charan
Lyrics: Sabarivaasan

The album begins on a funky composition with a unique fusion between modern jazz and native percussions. The energetic vocals by S.P.Charan and Mukesh do the job with great ease. The bass work is impressive and Sabarivaasan’s lyrics are quite trendy. The stylish nadaswaram in the interludes are used to their best effect.

Ketta News
Singers: Ilaiyaraja, Rajiv Rajaram, S.P.Charan
Lyrics: Rap Lyrics: Rajiv Rajaram, Subu

The kuthu mood continues with another folksy track next. Impressive bass guitar joins the feast with nice treble and fun percussions. The interludes feature great fusion between sitar, harmonica and mild rhythm section. In the contrast, the charanam features baritone vocals slowly reaching to a crescendo. The orchestration takes a changeover in the end to House Mix and Rap vocals.

Height of Bad News
Singers: N/A
Lyrics: N/A

A western classical symphony instrumental which also has the shades of contemporary touches. The usage of jaltarang in the midst of brilliant string section is a good attempt by the composer. True to the title, the track progresses in a steadily increasing pace leading to a crescendo point.

Saayore Saayore
Singers: Karthikeya Murthy, Latha Krishna, Sooraj Santosh
Lyrics: Karky

A lilting piano based melody is garnished brilliantly with guitar strums. Karthikeya’s brilliant vocals compliment greatly with Keerthana’s lower octave rendition. Despite the modern touches, the classical flavor is greatly reflected throughout the composition. However, it is the guitar strums which remain as a highlight of the track.

Irish Coffee Duel
Singers: N/A
Lyrics: N/A

Another lovely instrumental track based on an amazing fusion between grand piano and sweet sounding flute. The simple yet effective presentation of this track stands out as the biggest asset of it.

Porruppu To Parruppu
Singers: Rakendu Mouli, Venky
Lyrics: Dongli Jumbo, Karthikeya Murthy

The playful nature of the album is back with another funky composition with laid back rhythm and Hip-Hop styled riffs. The bass work stands out again with its impressive presence in the midst of thavil and dholak. The melodic aspect of the composition gets more value addition with impressive lyrics by Karthikeya and Dongli Jumbo.

Salsa Ki Jalsa
Singers: N/A
Lyrics: N/A

A beautiful instrumental track with the usage of trombone, string section and blissful harmonica. The yesteryear styled harmonica takes the front seat with great mastery and ease. The track indeed sounds like a musical celebration of various genres coming under one roof.

Vaazhum Naal
Singers: S.P.Balasubrahmanyam
Lyrics: Ko Sesha

The finale arrives with a soulful melody sung by SPB with great passion and vigor. The amazing chord progression makes its presence felt throughout and thoughtful lyrics by Ko Sesha deserve a very special mention. The interludes are brilliantly woven around guitar and neat treble section. The charanam gets a little edge over the pallavi for the emotional quotient.

Verdict: Moone Moonu Vaarthai is a fun-filled album from Karthikeya.
