Vijay Sethupathi's statement on Asifa's case

Vijay Sethupathi met the press today morning and when he was asked about Asifa's case, this is what he had to say:

"It is disheartening to know about it and it is even more painful to see people supporting such wild acts and it is sad to see when even the educated people support it. Every household has a woman, it could be a mother, sister or a wife.

Don't know what else can we do to teach people on how to respect a woman. I guess we should start taking classes on how to behave and how not to. We are constantly being diverted and not allowed to focus on one single issue. Whatever punishment given to the accused will be less compared to the crime they have committed but Asifa must get justice."
