The South India Cine & TV Stunt Directors, Stunt Artistes' Union celebrated its 51st anniversary today, April 17, at its office at Vadapalani, Chennai.

As part of the celebrations, a medical camp was jointly conducted by SRM Medical College and MGR Medical University in which members of the Stunt Union and their families were given treatment. Several members made blood and eye donations.

Kalaipuli S Thanu, who participated in the event, donated a sum of Rs 1 Lakh to the union. Actor Vijay Sethupathi too participated in the function and donated blood as well. 

He also spoke a few words: "During the making of films, all of you spill your blood for us day in and day out. Donating blood at your function is a sign of my gratitude. Conduct this donation drive and persuade others to join the movement."

6 veteran stunt artistes were also honoured during the function.

Vijay Sethupathi and Arun Kumar's film shooting update

As we all know, director SU Arun Kumar will be teaming up with Vijay Sethupathi once again after Pannaiyarum Padminiyum and Sethupathi. Arun Kumar is one of the few young filmmakers to portray emotions beautifully well in his films.

Now the latest we hear is that the makers have planned to start the shooting for this project from May 25. The first phase of the shoot will apparently happen in Tenkasi for 20 days and then the team is likely to head to Malaysia for a 35-day long schedule.

Anjali plays the female lead while Yuvan Shankar Raja scores the music for this film produced by K Productions.
