Sathuranga Vettai directed by Vinoth Kumar made everyone take notice of the film and the director. Post the film, Vinoth Kumar was reported to team up with Suriya for its sequel with a different title and we had also reported about Vinoth’s idea of a pentalogy of sorts of the theme.

In the interim, Vinoth was also said to have narrated a story to Ajith for a film under the Sathya Jyothi banner. But it looks like Ajith will once again be teaming with Siva for his next film. And Suriya has also gotten busy with other projects. At this juncture, it appears like Sathuranga Vettai sequel will take some time to roll.

However, Vinoth is now busy writing a script for his next which would be a small budgeted one. The director has completed almost half of his scripting and once he is done with writing, casting and other details are expected to be firmed up.
