Actor Rajinikanth made it very clear that he will not be competing in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, and the main goal of his party is the 2021 Assembly elections. However, he took to Twitter to share a special message for his friend Kamal Haasan, who is competing the elections with his part 'Makkal Needi Maiam'.
Through his Twitter handle, Rajinikanth said “கட்சி ஆரம்பித்து, இரண்டாம் ஆண்டில் அடி எடுத்து வைத்து, தேர்தலில் முதல்முறையாக போட்டி இடப்போகும் மக்கள் நீதி மய்யத் தலைவர்...என் நண்பர் கமல்ஹாசன் அவர்கள், பொது வாழ்விலும் வெற்றி பெற என் மனமார்ந்த நல்வாழ்த்துக்கள்...” (“Party stepping into the second year and competing in the elections for the first time, my heartfelt wishes to MNM leader and my friend Kamal Haasan”).
Replying to Rajini’s special wish, Kamal said “நன்றி @rajinikanth, என் 40 ஆண்டு கால நண்பரே. நல்லவர் துணை நின்றால் நாற்பது எளிதே. நாளை நமதே.” (“Thank you Rajinikanth, my 40 year old friend. When good people stand by you, forty is easy. Tomorrow is ours.”)
On the acting front, Kamal will be seen in ‘Indian 2’, directed by Shankar while Rajinikanth will play the lead in a yet-to-be-titled film with A.R.Murugadoss. Stay tuned for more updates on both the stars’ films.
