Hrishikesh Krishnakumar signs his next with producer Sameer Bharat Ram

After debuting as Raghuvaran's younger brother Karthik in the blockbuster Dhanush starrer VIP, Hrishikesh followed it up by playing the lead in the horror-comedy Rum, which had music by Anirudh Ravichander. Rum had Vivekh, Sanchita Shetty, and Miya George in crucial roles alongside Hrishikesh.

Now, we have the big announcement of his next film! Hrishi will be starring in Super Talkies Sameer Bharat Ram's next production venture directed by debutant Balu Sharma. This yet-untitled project will have Shirley as the lead heroine, while Sharanya Chander will handle the lens. The background score will be composed by Shamanth Nag, while there's a surprise regarding the songs!

We caught up with Hrishikesh to find out more about this project. "I met the director Balu Sharma along with Sameer Bharat Ram, and I heard the outline of the story. I found it interesting, after which I got a 5 hour-long narration of the full screenplay from Balu. I was hooked throughout the narration. It will be a romantic-drama film and we are looking to go on floors by September. This will be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual and the Telugu version will be shot after the completion of the Tamil version with me. For the first time in Tamil cinema, this film might feature a musical anthology. Five songs will be composed by five different composers," said Hrishi.

Interestingly, Balu Sharma has worked as a writer and co-director in the Telugu super hit romantic comedy Pelli Choopulu. Looks like we can expect an entertaining romantic film from the team very soon!
