Poriyaalan on the lines of Velai Illa Pattadhari..

The next venture of director Vetri Maaran's 'A Grassroot Film Company', Poriyaalan is all set for release this Friday, 5th September. About the movie, the National Award winning director said, "Poriyaalan is a movie about a civil engineer, and the troubles he faces."

Poriyaalan is directed by Thanukumar, a former associate of Vetri Maaran. Just like his mentor, the director has made the script in such a way that it never extends beyond reality. The movie runs for close to 2 hours.

It is to be noted that the recent Dhanush superhit Velai Illa Pattadhari too was a movie about the problems faced by a civil engineer. If Poriyaalan can emulate Velai Illa Pattadhari's success - that should be great!
