GANGAI AMARAN HOSPITALIZED; WILL NOT STAND IN RK NAGAR BY-ELECTION

Popular music director and actor Gangai Amaran, brother of Isaignani Ilayaraja and father of Venkat Prabhu, has been admitted to a private hospital due to medical concerns. Reportedly, he is suffering from low salt-levels in his body and has undergone a minor surgery in the neck region at a Coimbatore hospital. He is well now.
It should be noted that Gangai Amaran was expected to represent BJP's candidacy in the RK Nagar by-election. However, he has now been replaced by Karu Nagarajan for the same, according to reports.

We all know that the RK Nagar (Chennai) by-election is happening on the 12th of April. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has now announced their candidate for the constituency.
According to reports, popular singer and music director, Gangai Amaran, will supposedly be contesting from R.K.Nagar. He will be representing the BJP, with whom he has been closely associated with for the past few years. Names like Tamizhisai Soundarajan and actress Gauthami were rumored to be considered, but it looks like Gangai Amaran has grabbed the opportunity.
The voting will happen on the 12th of April, and the result will be announced on April 15th.
