Will Jeethu Joseph remake his other superhit Malayalam films in Tamil?

With Kamal Haasan’s Papanasam, getting positive reviews from all corners since its release yesterday (3rd July), the film is expected to do well at the box office too.

Papanasam, a neat suspense thriller inclined with all the necessary commercial elements is directed by Jeethu Joseph, a successful director in Kerala, someone who is relatively less known in Tamil Nadu though.

Apart from the original version of Papanasam, Drishyam (Malayalam), Jeethu Joseph has directed 4 other interesting ventures, most of which turned out to attain box office glory too. Like Drishyam, Jeethu has two other crime thrillers to his name in the form of Detective (2007) and Memories (2013) both equally intriguing as Drishyam. Who knows, if Papanasam does well at box office, Jeethu might very well remake his other two crime thrillers in Tamil too.

Malayalam directors foraying into Tamil cinema is not something new. Some of the legendary directors of Mollywood like Priyadarshan, Fazil, Sethumadhavan, Siddque, etc. have all directed Tamil films and have been equally successful. Let's see what Jeethu's plans would be after this.
