Kamal Haasan's camp confirms Drishyam remake under the direction of Jeethu Joseph

Kamal's camp confirm Drishyam remake!

Feb 01, 2014

Following a confirmation from Kamal Haasan’s camp, it has indeed been reaffirmed that the recent Padma Bhushan awardee will reprise the role of George Kutty from the Malyalam superhit thriller Drishyam.

The director of the original, Jeethu Joseph, will undertake the task of the Tamil remake as well and it will be made under the banner of Suresh Balaji and George Pious’s Wide Angle Creations.

Many actors in the South, including the likes of Vikram, had shown interest in the film and the role played by Mohan Lal but it seems almost fitting that such a performance driven role would land on Kamal’s lap now.

An official announcement on the other cast and crew details and the schedule of the project is awaited.
