Thegidi, AR Murugadoss and GV Prakash...

Music director Nivas Prasanna made people sit up and take note of his tracks in his very first film Thegidi. He is now working in his second film Varaipadam directed by debutant Ashraf who has learnt his direction lessons from A R Murugadoss.

Varaipadam features Ashok Selvan (of Thegidi fame) as the hero with a Kannada import Shanvi Srivastava as the heroine. Incidentally, Shanvi was associated with the Kannada film Chandralekha which was a remake of Telugu film Prem Katha Chitram which is coming to Tamil as Darling with G V Prakash as the lead.

Varaipadam is said to be a romantic comedy thriller and 15% of the film has been completed. The team plans to shoot in Bangalore and Chennai. More updates to follow!
