No background music score in the festival version of Vetri Maaran's Visaranai

Vetri Maaran’s Visaranai is a Tamil feature that holds Attakathi Dinesh and Samuthirakani in pivotal roles. As reported earlier, the film has been selected in the competitive category for the prestigious Venice Film festival. The festival kick-started on the 2nd of September and will wrap on the 12th of September.

The pride of Tamil cinema, Visaranai is supposed to be allotted three screenings in the festival. Sources close to Vetri Maaran’s camp inform that the festival version of this rustic investigative movie has no background music score. Dubbing and sound effects will be the only sound elements of the film.

Previously, Gautham Menon’s Nadunisi Naaigal had a similar approach, though the director’s previous successful outing was the musically celebrated Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya.
