A RARE 2-IN-1 PLAN BY DHANUSH AND VETRI MAARAN

Actor Dhanush and director Vetri Maaran would be joining hands soon for Vada Chennai, where Samantha has been booked as the lead heroine and Santhosh Narayanan is set to score the music.

 

We hear from the director himself that he plans to make Vada Chennai in two parts, as the scope of the film is massive and can't be covered in a single film. This sure is a rare initiative by a director in Indian cinema, and Anurag Kashyap's Gangs of Wasseypur and SS Rajamouli's blockbuster Baahubali (2nd part to come soon) are similar endeavors which spanned two parts.

 

Back home, Kamal's Vishwaroopam, was also planned as two parts from the beginning, and after the massive success of the first part in 2013, the second part is yet to see the light of the day. We hope that Vetri and Dhanush get to make both the parts of Vada Chennai promptly and release them on time. A mighty exciting development indeed!
