"Nayan has no airs and is very professional"

Aari who made his presence felt with a powerful performance in Nedunchalai is quite a busy hero with many interesting projects in his kitty which are in various stages of production.

One of his upcoming films is Maya where Nayanthara is the heroine. The film was earlier titled Night Show but is now changed to Maya.

While talking about the film and sharing screen space with the Queen Bee of Kollywood, Aari says, “She is an extremely professional artist who is very simple and down to earth. She has absolutely no airs. Of course, Maya is definitely her film, a heroine-centric at that. But at the same time, my role is also interesting. I am very happy to be a part of a film that has Nayan in the lead. She also has not done a horror film or a genre like this. She has done a fabulous job in Maya”.

Aari feels that the script of Maya was very interesting and thanks the producer Potential Studios for giving him this opportunity. “I have never done a horror film till now and hence was thrilled to do Maya. My character is quite different from the ones I had earlier done and the director has shaped it very well”.

He furthers, “It is rare to get a script based on horror. In that sense, Maya is a supernatural thriller that will satisfy the audience as it will be entertaining and at the same time there is also a suspense element in it.”

About his other projects, Dharani directed by Guhan Sambandham is all set to release on the 23^rd of January. He is also working in Kadai En Aaru being directed by Sasidharan, who was the co-writer of Chennai-28 and Maanae Thenae Peyae with Krishna where Aari has tried comedy for the first time.
