KAAKA MUTTAI WOWS THE BOX OFFICE ALL OVER

Tamil cinema audiences have always been receptive to good content and with Kaaka Muttai, this has been proved yet again. The film is reported to have grossed around 3.35 crores in Tamil Nadu after the first 3 days (it is tax free too). The gross on the first 3 days is said to be 90 lakhs, 1.1 crores and 1.35 crores respectively. We can see that each day has been progressively better. From all over India, the 3 day gross is said to be 3.8 crores.

 

Fox Star Studios have released the film and they smartly went for limited screens equipped with the right facilities, for the audience to enjoy the film. Even after the film was lapped up by the audiences on Day 1, they didn't increase the TN screen count drastically and just increased it by 8 from the initial 109 odd. This just shows that with the right content, a film can still work irrespective of its screen count.

 

Kaaka Muttai's word of mouth is very strong and it is expected to hold on very well in the weekdays too. We have to see for how long the film can wield its charm on the audience.
