Thuppakki's growing nationwide appeal

Vijay's Thuppakki, directed by A.R.Murugadoss, was not only a huge success in Tamil Nadu, but also a big earner in overseas markets, Kerala and Karnataka. The film's Telugu dubbed version, was also a decent success.

Over the past year or so, A.R.Murugadoss has been busy with the Hindi remake of the movie, Holiday starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead. This remake is set to release in the middle of the year and is among the most hyped films in Bollywood this year.

Now, Thuppakki is set to be remade in Bengali too, as Game - He Plays to Win. Reliance Entertainment in association with Grassroot Entertainment Pvt. Ltd are producing the movie, starring Jeet and Subhashree. Baba Yadav is directing the movie.

Thuppakki is proving its nationwide appeal with these two remakes. Kudos to A.R.Murugadoss for such a relevant and universally applicable story.
