Manjapai – A Preview

Debutante director Naveen Raghavan’s Manjapai hits the screens this weekend, on the 6^th of June. Starring Vemal and Lakshmi Menon in the lead, the movie also has Raj Kiran doing the role of Vemal’s grandfather.

Jointly produced by Thirrupathi Brothers and Sargunam Cinemaz, Manjapai has music by N.R.Raghunandan and cinematography by Masani. In a recent event the director pointed out the highlights of the movie. Here they are …

“Manjapai is about an experience of a grandfather and grandson (played by Rajkiran and Vemal respectively), who move to Chennai from a village called Kondayyanpatti. There’s lot of comedy, sentiment, romance and all other elements that make a film enjoyable.”

“The core message I have intended to communicate is that in this mechanical world, where we keep running after money, we tend to lose some important people on the way. Whereas, our aim in life should be earning more people rather than losing them.”

“Manjapai is a family entertainer. After watching the movie, the elders would want a grandson like Vemal and the youngsters will wish for a grandpa as cool as Rajkiran.”
