Kalyana Samayal Saadham – Trailer & Mella Sirithai, with an innovative concept and one of the best editing had raised some expectation for this movie among urban youngsters. The film is about present generation couple, suffering to cope with all the rituals which happen during the traditional wedding. Let us see whether it will satisfy Common Man in this review.

Story: First half of the movie deals on how friendship & love develops between arranged marriage couples – Prasanna & Lekha. First half of the movie was fully engaging with adult-oriented comedy scenes which are related with theme of the movie. Second half – Director has struggled a little here as the story is a simple one and have kept scenes which were little melodramatic and slows down the screenplay.

Prasanna – He had to be appreciated for acting in this role, which 7 out of 10 actors will not accept. Movies with this kind of adult script are very common in Hollywood & Bollywood, but this is new to Tamil Cinema and Prasanna has to be appreciated for doing it boldly. He has done the role with ease.

Lekha Washington –had made a strong come back to Tamil Cinema with a role which provides her an excellent opportunity to perform in various scenes. She looks beautiful in most of the scenes and looks little matured in few scenes.

All the supporting actors – Leading actor’s friends, Delhi Ganesh, Uma Padmanaban, Crazy Mohan (cameo) have done a great job.

Cinematography by Krishnan Vasanth adds more value to the movie. Most of the movie happens inside four walls and he has made sure that audience doesn’t feel it.

Music by Arrora was too good. Songs were good & his BGM does full justice to comedy & romantic scenes.

Editing by Sathyaraj was awesome. His editing for the song “Mella Sirithai” was fantabulous.

Overall, KSS is a FEEL GOOD ROMANTIC COMEDY MOVIE strictly for Urban Youngsters & Multiplex as it needs matured audience to accept the theme of the movie.

First Half - 3 / 5 Second Half – 2 / 5

Rating of this movie by Common Man – 2.5 / 5
