"THE AUDIENCE WHO WALK OUT OF THE MOVIE WILL WANT A GHOST LIKE THE ONE IN THE MOVIE" - DIRECTOR SARAVANAN

Irukku Aana Illa is a fantasy horror movie that is all set for a release this Friday. It will be releasing alongside Dhanush's landmark 25th movie, Velai Illa Pattathari, and Sathuranga Vettai, that has received the appreciation of almost all the new wave directors. However, the director of Irukku Aana Illa, Saravanan is supremely confident that his movie will stand its position with the biggies.

Superficially, his confidence might look as arrogance because such movies of the horror genre have always been received well. But, Saravanan is a man who believes in his product, not the trend. He says, "I had completed my script before one and half years. We had a team by April. Then, we fine tuned our vision to a solid plan, and began shoot by September."

Saravanan said that he had planned a May release for Irukku Aana Illa. Due to Post Production delays, the team could not do that. However, the director maintained that the delay only served him good, and this was the best time for his movie.

The fact is that, initially, the 'Yaamirukka Bayamey' team had approached 'Irukku Aana Illa' team for the title. When Saravanan and his team weren’t ready to give up their title, Yaamirukka Bayamey had chosen 'Illa Aana Irukku' as their title. But, due to confusions, one team had to choose an alternate title, and the rightful owners - the 'Irukku Aana Illa' team - retained it.

To stand for a product needs a lot of guts and belief, and the team did exactly that. About that, Saravanan says, "Yes. This is a project that does not have much of an artist value. We believe in the content - in fact most of the time between when I actually completed the script, and when we actually started filming went in reworking the script again and again till perfection. And that gives us strength and belief."

Apparently, the producers had picked Saravanan’s from around 60 scripts.  Saravanan says, "There are four producers, all from Kuwait. Their only entertainment in their place is Cinema. And, they wanted to encourage young talents - their sole aim was to make a minimum of two youngster's life, rather than making money."

The director adds, "The audience who walk out of the movie will want a ghost like the one in the movie. Those who fear walking alone in the dark streets will definitely find a new bravery to do so."

Well, that’s reason enough to watch the movie! Best Wishes Saravanan!
