The University of Agriculture, Faizabad will reportedly take the necessary steps to promote Eastern culture and Islamic traditions among youth. UAF vice chancellor Zafar Iqbal reportedly said, "In our culture, women are more empowered and earn their due respect as sisters, mothers, daughters, and wives."

Iqbal mentioned that Western culture was taking root in society. However, many ended up ridiculing the initiative of UAF to rebrand Valentine's Day as Sister's Day, drawing parallels to the Hindu festival of 'Raksha Bandhan'.
