Coffee baned at school in South Korea to promote healthiness

According to reports, coffee has been banned at schools in South Korea. According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the ban will be effective from September 14.

 

The decision was taken to promote healthier lifestyles among school students and teachers. A ministry official said, "The revision aims to create healthy eating habits among children and teenagers." All vending machines and snack stalls will have to stop the sale of coffee.

 

It has been reported earlier that consuming food and beverages of high calorie-levels and caffeine leads to heart palpitations.  Other symptoms including sleep disorders and nervousness have been reported.
