Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi chief Thol Thirumavalavan, in an exclusive with Behindwoods, explained why he once compared Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev of Isha Foundation to Periyar. The VCK chief explained it while replying to a question on Tamil Nadu government’s decision to present AIADMK leader Valarmathi with Periyar Award. The Isha founder spoke against caste, religious divides and, is opposed to Varnasrama, Thirumavalavan said. Stating that his opinions were similar to Periyar’s, the VCK chief added that Sadhguru can be compared to Periyar that way.
