Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit has made Raj Bhavan a non-veg free zone by strictly prohibiting consumption or preparation of any non-vegetarian food including egg in the Raj Bhavan, according to TOI. Ever since he took over as the Governor he has been actively involving in Tamil Nadu politics. He has also ordered not to accept shawls and bouquets from his guests.
