South African batsman scores 490 in a one-day cricket game

20-year-old South African batsman Shane Dadswell on Saturday scored a record 490 runs in a 50-over game while playing for his club NWU Pukke against Potch Dorp. The knock included 27 fours and 57 sixes and helped his side NWU Pukke post 677/3 against Potch Dorp. The previous highest known individual score in 50-over cricket was 486*, scored by Ooty's Sankruth Sriram in 2014.
