FATHER SETS PREGNANT DAUGHTER ON FIRE AS SON-IN-LAW IS BLACK

According to reports, a man was arrested for trying to murder his wife and daughter. Reportedly, Shekar's daughter Swathi married her childhood sweetheart Thangavelu without her parent's knowledge. She continued to live with her parents, keeping her married life a secret. However, her parents came to know after she became pregnant.

At first, Shekar refused to accept their marriage, but he mellowed down after some time. However, one day he alleged that he found his wife and daughter on fire and took them to the hospital. While Shekar behaved in a concerned manner, Thangavelu saw through his act.

Thangavelu filed a complaint at the police station, following which Shekar was arrested. Shekar admitted to trying to murder his wife and daughter. He stated that he was not happy that Thangavelu was black in colour.
