CM gives Rs 1 crore solatium to Periyapandian's family

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami met the family of slain cop S Periyapandian and handed over a solatium of Rs 1 crore to his family. The CM also added that the state government will bear the educational expenses of the inspector's sons. Periyapandian was killed in Rajasthan in December 2017, where he had gone to apprehend the robbers involved in a gold theft in a jewellery shop in Kolathur.
